By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man has been remanded to jail following charges of gang affiliation.
Twenty-one-year-old Kareem Fisher, appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, charged with being a member of “The Antelope Horse & Carriage/1 Stop Clique,” street gang. The group is reportedly being investigated by police for their alleged involvement in a number of serious crimes.
Fisher pleaded not guilty to the charge; however, the Crime Control and Criminal Justice Act dictates that bail cannot be granted at the Magistrate level for this offense.
He was then remanded to the Belize Central Prison until his next court date, March 1, 2023.
