College student Olivia (@livlovespink4) is a self-described “girl who likes interior design.”
In a TikTok video, she utilized her past dorm experience to assist others who are deciding on what to put in their rooms.
She wrote in the video caption: “Just my advice after my dorm experience!”
She offered some dos and don’ts for designing an on-campus room space.
From the start, she stated the importance of having an overall theme.
“My biggest, biggest piece of advice is make sure the pieces that you’re spending a lot of money on, you can easily transition to all your living situations in college.”
First, she explained that she loved the Roller Rabbit Jemina Sheet Set, $198, but the chances that people would reuse them again are “pretty slim.”
If you want to add a Roller Rabbit touch, she advised getting a baby quilt because they’re smaller, can be put at the foot of your bed, and are reusable throughout college.
Next, she told viewers to get a headboard because it will make sleeping more comfortable, looks cuter, and pillows won’t slide down the crack in the wall.
Olivia advised against a charging headboard because “it’s $300 for no reason,” when an extension cord does the same thing.
